    And the true lie was.....

This game was great!  We need more like it!  Here are the results....

True Lie - My Nine Truths

    1.  I have not weighted under 200 pounds since I was 13.
    **Unfortunatley true

    2.  At 13 years old I "streaked" naked through a hotel hallway in Washington DC.
** True...I told you, the Reverse Anorexia has been with me a LONG time!  *L* And it WAS on a dare when I was there with the traffic scouts from my school.  BAD girl!!

    3.  My father was a WWII Veteran a Sgt serving with the Army Air Corp
** True, I was a VERY late in life baby.

    4.  The only times I've been in car accidents have been when I was pregnant-both times.
     ** True

    5.  I walked the March of Dimes 20 mile March 3 times, when it was still 20 miles, not kilometers.
    ** True!

    6.  I was on my high school track team.
**True, I DID throw shot and discus, and actually held the school record for shot put for about 10 years...Farm girls are amazingly strong..*LOL*

    7.  I am in love with both Prince and Brett Michaels - polar opposites.
** SO true, and have danced in high heels at BOTH of their concerts in the last 5 years.

    8.  All my sisters and brothers and myself were born in January.
** THIS IS FALSE....Although my mother and I were both in January, my sister and father were in July, however, all four of us had shades of red for birthstones.  (the other sisters and brother are halfs with different fathers)

    9.  I have step sisters and brothers that I have never met.
**True.  My widowed mother remarried when I was older and his kids were scattered to the winds. So we never met.

    10.  My children are "Kentucky Twins" born only 12 months apart.
** True, an accident of nature that I am SO happy for now that they are almost grown!

SO- there you have it....#8 was the "lie".

What will you do with all that skin?

Ok, while I'm giving everyone a chance to guess the truths about me...Thought I'd throw this out there..
I'm no where near my goal, but already I'm seeing the signs of "Fat Bast#rd Syndrom", all this skin that is going to be leftover, wrinkled and hanging and stretchable.  Especially the necks and arms, and even on the legs around the knees.  Now, there will never be a time that I can afford to have it removed.  I'm interested in how the rest of you will be dealing with the leftovers- skin that is! (too bad there isn't a way to "donate" it, like to a burn -unit or some other way to put it to good use!) For me now, I'm just loading it with lotion and hoping that someday it will shrink at least somewhat! *LOL*

    Just another week- I think not...Week 23

So I"m still there, on a stand still, but I think the drive is finally coming back. Perhaps it is just time that helps with the Reverse Anorexia.  I think maybe your eyes/mind have to adjust to the new weight to see that you really need to keep going. And maybe at this point, I've maintained long enough to get there!!
And wow!  The kids are taking off!  Another loss for Justin, who's well on his way to that big 200 mark....and Shonda finally got out of the 270's!!!  GO girl!  I know the 270's were just hard for her.  SO here are our weekly results...I'm SO proud of how far we've come!!!

    Bad Week

Anyone else having just a really bad week?  No motivation... just none.  I feel too controlled, too structured....I am the champion of rebelling and I just want to break every rule...Grrrrrr...Guess that goes to show that I have control issues and evidentally food plays into that BIG time.  A psychiatrist would have a WONDERFUL time with me...*L*

    WEEK 19

Well, if "slow and steady wins the race", then I guess we are doing well.  And as long as the metal measuring goes down, I count it as a good week!  And we hit several mini-goals this week. Jusin hit the 50 lb mark!  Shonda hit 45 lbs!  And I'm out of the 290's!! This week just seemed tough for me.  I struggled all week, just with low motivation.  But hey, it's the beginning of a new week, a new chance, and a new attitude!

    Non-Scale Victories

While checking on friends this weekend, we saw a blog about non-scale victories, and it really inspired us!  Our weight-loss has slowed this week, and we needed a reminder that it isn't always about what the scales tell us.  (even though the scales never lie..oh wait, that's another show....*L*)
SO I'll share my latest non-scale victory.  I got up at 5:15 AM this morning and took a brisk walk for 15 minutes.  Almost a jog.  My knee seems to be much better and I think I'm back on the road to health.  YEAH!!!  I missed my morning workouts!  (geez, was it me who said that????*L*)
SO, yeah me, and yeah to all of you who accomplish more than you were able too, 3 1/2 months ago!!!  We've come so far!!!

    Week 17- Downs and ups

A setback?? I don't think so...So this week we've all slowed down.  I guess that isn't a bad thing, as long as we're not going up!  And I'm sure that the slower weeks will happen more often, as we get smaller.  So the real challenge will be hanging in there when we dont' see results as often, or even if we have setbacks.  I think it will prove how serious we are.  And besides that we DID hit our halfway point!  Barely, but we have now lost 1/2 of one of us!!!!!!  WHOOHOOO!!  So I'm just going to celebrate that!!!  So here is our chart...and I can't get the kids together long enough to take comparison pictures, so I'll just share some "normal" pictures.

Week Sixteen and still going strong!

Sometimes I just wonder why we never did this before.  And then I realize that it just wasn't ever the right time.  We never had this avenue of support.  We never had this community of friends to make us feel so much like a team.  Thank you for being out there, for sharing this part of your life and struggle with us!!!
And WHOOHOOO again!!  Another good week for us.  I only lost 2 lbs but I'll take it!  Justin keeps plugging along.  It's getting harder for him as he gets closer to his goal.  And Shonda did fantastic this week!!!
I'll try to get new pictures up tomorrow sometime if I can round up kids.
And here are this weeks weigh-ins.  We are only 2 lbs away from our halfway point!!  Our goal at the beginning as a team, was to lose one of "us"...we took an average of 300 lbs and that is what we wanted to lose. Next week we will get it!

Sorry, I know this is all about "WE" but this week I broke 300 and I am so happy to finally be in the 200's again.   AND we are also celebrating being out of the 800's in total.  We've come down from the 900's into the 700's as a team, and I'm so proud of us all!  What a wonderful trip this has been and continues to be!

    What's the Deal?

Ok, so a couple questions.  Why can't we do "events" anymore?  I keep trying to add one, and it won't let me invite my friends.  Granted, I am not up on the technology, and I'm definately not able to keep up with everything going on here.  Much as I'd love too, I simply don't have the time.
Also, WHOOHOOOO for Ali!!   And congrats to everyone!  We made it far over a million pounds!  Don't that make everyone a winner?  And was there really a "winner" on MPM and if so, what did they win that none of us won?  I certainly feel like a winner myself! And I plan on keeping on, doing what we are doing for the rest of my life.  I hope that I keep my friends here and we keep encouraging each other.
Now that it's "all" over, do you plan on sticking around??

    Over the weekend-Week 14

Sorry that my post this week is a little later than usual.  I spent the weekend off with my sisters visiting out of town.  My oldest sister is recovering from a battle with lung cancer.  Good to report she is done with chemo now and will be feeling better once this bout with the nauea is done.  However the kids and I still did our weigh-ins. HAPPY DAY!  My weight has started back down!! And the kids continue to lose. So here is our chart, and a couple pics of my sisters and myself.

Well, it finally had to happen.  My first week of non-loss.  And I'm just gonna deal with it and move on. It was like hitting a brick wall.  But I didn't do anything different.  Nothing wrong.  SO I'll just stay the course and keep on living the healthy lifestyle and let nature take it's course.  On the other hand, both kids have blossomed.  Justin got out of the 230's, and Shonda got out of the 280's. WOOHOO!!!  And for both of them, this is their lowest weight in years.  I'm so proud of them!  And for those who still follow up, here is our chart.  (And hey, if anyone else has a better way of charting, I'm running out of room!!  And very open to suggestion!!)
